This time last year, Sweet Mash was in full renovation mode while we (Tamara and Dawn) were planning our first boutique clothing buying trip. My, how far we have come! When we first flipped the OPEN sign on Sweet Mash back in June of 2015, we could have never predicted the path this journey has taken, the very winding path. We have had a front row seat to the rebirth of a downtown historic district. We found a new way to reach our customers during a pandemic and hope that y’all got a laugh out of our silly videos. We have expanded our offerings again and again to make sure that we can meet all your gifting needs. We even were lucky enough to get our license to sell travelers and locals a curated, ever changing selection of Kentucky made spirits. Which brings us back to this time last year when we were about to embark on our biggest challenge yet!
Summer of last year we were presented with the possibility to expand into the other half of our building. Mrs. Hodson, our building-mate decided to retire after 70 years with her family’s women’s clothing business, the Mrs. Cox Shop. We saw this as not just a chance to increase our square footage but an opportunity to carry on the Mrs. Cox Shop tradition of fine women’s clothing for our community. So here we are almost a year later with a full offering in our Sweet Mash women’s clothing boutique. Stop in and see all the changes we have made!
Our clothing brands include THML, Adeline Rae, Molly Bracken, Boho Chic, Queen of Sparkles, Cherish snd many more.
Our jewelry selection remains anchored by Kendra Scott, with additions like Michelle McDowell, Kinsey Designs, Market & King and Brianna Cannon.
We look forward to continue to offer the best customer service to locals & travelers alike. Can't wait to see y'all!
